'Sister Wives' star Kody Brown slammed as 'selfish' for denying his kids an emotional support dog

A few fans even questioned how Kody, a man with four wives and nineteen children felt that caring for a dog was a huge responsibility

With each passing episode of 'Sister Wives' fans are discovering new reasons to hate Kody Brown. The Brown family patriarch's poor treatment of his wives has already made him one of the least liked cast members of the show. But after watching the latest episode fans can't seem to stop hating on him.

Kody's fourth wife- Robyn Brown's children requested their mother if they could get a dog as an emotional support animal during the pandemic. The kids explained how the quarantining was very hard on them and were keen on getting a dog to help them get through it. Robyn was onboard with the idea, but she asked the kids to check with Kody too to make sure everybody was on board with adding a new family member to their house. When Kody heard the kids' request he just simply said no.

Kody denied the kids' request saying getting a dog was a huge responsibility and also that he was allergic to dog hair. He explained in his confessional how he would be stuck caring for the dog, and wasn't keen on taking on the responsibility so he simply refused to allow a dog into the home. He later joked that he would much rather feed a horse instead of getting a dog home. When fans heard Kody's excuse for denying a dog to the kids, they were annoyed and labelled him selfish. Many fans pointed out how hair shedding should be least of Kody's concerns when it comes to getting a dog. A fan tweeted, "I’m betting Kody sheds more than any dog.#SisterWives."

"I bet Kody at his age and with his weird hair loses as much hair as any dog #SisterWives," joked another fan. "Cody a dog is just as inconvenient as a child... you have 16 of them and as for the hair it’s called a LINT ROLLER #sisterwives," pointed another fan. 

Fans also slammed Kody for being extremely selfish with his decision of not letting his kids have a dog to help them get through the pandemic. A fan commented, "@Surviving_Pod the guy with 19 kids and a head of hair that looks like a rat family lives in it doesn’t want a dog because of responsibility and shedding... #sisterwives." Another fan shared, "As someone who has dealt with dog allergies for 39 years. You aren’t allergic to the hair. It’s the dander. I would NEVER have denied my child the love of a pet which is why I have been medicated so we can have fur babies. You are just selfish."
