TJ Ducklo slammed as Biden’s ‘freak show’ after he deflects question about teleprompter in Fox News interview

When it seemed like he was suffering from a meltdown, Ducklo said that he wouldn't allow the Trump campaign to 'funnel their questions through Fox News and get me to respond to that'

Does Joe Biden rely on a teleprompter to respond to America’s questions? Many asked this after Donald Trump’s administration released a clip that shows how the former vice president answered America. Following one question, Biden is heard saying “move it up here”, before he begins to answer. The clip was captioned, "Joe Biden is relying on a teleprompter to answer questions: "move it up here," he tells his staff. There are long pauses between his words as he waits for the prompter to scroll."

The video soon went viral as people wondered if the presidential candidate in fact uses a teleprompter to answer questions by citizens. On September 10, Biden's national press secretary TJ Ducklo had appeared on Fox News for an interview with Bret Baier for 'Special Report'. When the news anchor asked Ducklo if Biden uses a teleprompter to answer local news or Q&As, the latter offered rather indirect answers.

"We are not going to engage, this is straight from the Trump campaign talking points." He further adds, "And what it does, Bret, is it's trying to distract the American people from" before Baier asks him to provide a direct answer with "yes or no". But Ducklo went on to say, "They talk about it every day, Bret, because they don't have a coherent strategy, they talk about it every day because they don't have a coherent argument for why Donald Trump deserves reelection, deserves four more years"

Calling out Trump's administration for being inefficient with respect to their response to the pandemic, he further stated, "We know that he lied to the American people. We know that he has not shown leadership during this crisis and they are desperate to throw anything they can against the wall to try to distract from that fact."

It almost seemed like Ducklo was suffering from a meltdown before he hastily said he wouldn't allow the Trump campaign to "funnel their questions through Fox News and get me to respond to that."

On seeing Ducklo's response to the Fox News anchor's question about Biden allegedly using a teleprompter, a significant number of people have pointed that Biden's spokesperson got "defensive" about the former vice president, while some slammed him for dodging the questions.

One tweeted, "Literally every single time Biden or a Biden staffer gets asked a simple question about Biden they get overly defensive, don't answer the question, and start yelling "orange man bad." They do this bc they all know Biden's record and policy is indefensible"

Another tweeted, "Clearly @TDucklo has never faced real scrutiny from the press. If Trump's attack on Biden is groundless, all Mr. Ducklo had to say was "No, Biden has never used a teleprompter for a news interview from his house". His refusal to even come close to that was very telling..."

Reacting to Ducklo's response one wrote, "He was nearly hysterical, and I don’t mean funny." Another added, "That is an admission that Biden does use a teleprompter or his notes for answers to only approved questions!"

One user who seemed sure about Biden using the teleprompter wrote "Come on...we saw that he was reading from teleprompter. We have eyes. Biden and freak show think we are stupid. This will backfire."
