'Titans' Season 2 Episode 12's Ravager outfit is a let-down after the spectacular costume designs we've seen all season

To its credit, the Ravager costume does more or less maintain the same look as her classic appearance in the comics but unfortunately, it doesn't have the same sleekness that we see in the outfit worn by Deathstroke. Where Deathstroke looks formidable, Rose looks more like a kid playing dress-up.

'Titans' has had some really amazing costume designs this season that balanced comic book accuracy with a realistic feel. Unfortunately, the designers may have missed the mark a bit with the Ravager outfit worn by Rose Wilson (Chelsea Zhang) in 'Titans' Season 2 Episode 12 'Faux-Hawk'.

To its credit, the Ravager costume does more or less maintain the same look as her classic appearance in the comics but unfortunately, it doesn't have the same sleekness that we see in the outfit worn by Deathstroke / Slade Wilson (Esai Morales). Where Deathstroke looks imposing and formidable, Rose looks more like a kid playing dress-up.

The oversized eyes on Rose's mask seem unnecessary and its overall design, with a hard front and a cloth back, wouldn't really provide much use on the battlefield as protection and it doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable either. The rest of the outfit isn't all bad, to be honest, though perhaps a darker color palette would have worked slightly better.

So far, we've only seen Rose wearing the full outfit in flashbacks from Episode 12 and she's mostly just stuck to civilian clothing in the present day, which honestly makes her look better than she does in her suit. There's always the possibility that she will don that ridiculous mask again in the next episode when she joins the Titans and Deathstroke in San Francisco for a final showdown, though we would prefer that she not.

Hopefully, the designers can create an improved version of the Ravager suit for future appearances that looks more like something an assassin and not a cosplayer would wear. If nothing else, it would be better if Rose ditches her mask and just keeps the body armor. After all, her eye patch and impressive fighting skills make her pretty badass already and a suit ought to accentuate those qualities, not take away from them.

'Titans' Season 2 Episode 13 'Nightwing', the final episode of the season, will arrive on DC Universe on November 29.
