LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dreams do come true, and for Timothee Chalamet, they do. At this year's CinemaCon, currently underway at Caesars Palace, a new trailer for 'Wonka' was unveiled, further fueling anticipation for the film. 'Wonka' is an upcoming musical based on Roald Dahl's popular children's book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,' but the film will focus solely on the story of Willy Wonka.

Timothee Chalamet revealed at CinemaCon that he "literally" swam in real melted chocolate while shooting the film, describing the entire experience as "too much chocolate" Although the chocolate gave him a stomach ache, it was still "a dream come true," the actor said. Speaking further about his role in 'Wonka,' Chalamet talked about the actors who have played the iconic character before him and said that the other versions of Willy Wonka were "cynical," he says. But "this is a Willy that's full of joy and hope and desire to become the greatest chocolatier" The chocolate swimmer was not the only surprise for fans at CinemaCon, there's another charming British actor who will star in 'Wonka'

Who is playing Oompa Loompa?

The trailer for 'Wonka' also revealed the actor who will play the role of Oompa Loompa, whom Willy Wonka hires to take care of his chocolate factory. The actor is none other than Hugh Grant, who is taking center stage at the Oscars this year. In the trailer, Grant is trapped in a tiny glass jar, and Wonka rescues him and tasks him with getting the chocolate factory up and running again. The trailer showed the new and improved Wonka singing and dancing as he travels around the world to find exquisite chocolate recipes. The trailer also revealed some of the other cast members who will join 'Wonka' on his journey to build the extraordinary chocolate factory. Fans at CinemaCon also saw Olivia Colman as the Cockney innkeeper, Sally Hawkins as Wonka's mother, and Calah Lane as the chocolatier's new friend in the trailer.

Will Charlie and the gang make an appearance in the film?

'Wonka' will tell the story of Willy Wonka and how he opened his own chocolate factory. The book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' is exclusively about a poor boy who wins a golden ticket to visit Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory. However, 'Wonka' will focus on how the chocolate factory came to be. Therefore, Charlie and the gang will unfortunately not appear in the film.
