TikTok has become a platform where people from across the globe express their views and in a fraction of seconds, the platform has the power to make the content go viral. According to Wilkinson and Finkbeiner, 50% of all marriages in the US end in divorce or separation. A divorce lawyer seems to have provided a reason for the large figure on TikTok.

The lawyer went viral on the platform for warning women against marrying men who had any of the five jobs she had listed and had the most problems with while overseeing divorce proceedings.

'Top 5 Professions Women Should Avoid in a Spouse'

On her TikTok channel, @jettiegirl28, a user who claimed she was a divorce lawyer, shared some advice. She recently wrote a blog post titled 'Top 5 Professions Women Should Avoid in a Spouse.' In the video, she listed the various occupations that she said were the worst when it came to the divorce process.

She said, "Over the course of my career, I’ve watched my most difficult cases, and, shockingly, many of them involve men in these five professions." She continued, "What I notice among these five professions is that they tend to be more narcissistic, they tend to be more controlling. They tend to be far more difficult in dealing with a divorce. They have kind of a nuke-the-earth, scorch-the-earth, ‘How dare you challenge me?’ kind of approach to litigation."

The lawyer said that this seemed to be recurring trend in her 13 years of experience as a lawyer. What are the professions that people should avoid according to the lawyer? She said women should give a wide berth to firefighters, military service members, cops, surgeons and pilots.

'100 percent agree'

In the comments section, many people agreed with her assessment. A user wrote, "I feel like pastors would be top of the list if they got divorced more often." A second wrote, "Pilots have girlfriends and WIVES in different countries and cities!!" A third chimed in with, "NJ divorce lawyer. 100% agree. Military amd surgeons run tabs into the six figures." While a fourth said, "Approved! I married a military pilot and despite being divorced from him and 13,000 miles away, he still tries to control me!!!"
