MOSCOW, IDAHO: After Bryan Kohberger's arrest following the brutal murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle and Madison Mogen, web sleuths claimed how a sheath led to the 28-year-old being arrested. A Redditor wrote, "After the murders, detailed things not yet revealed. The sheath led to his arrest. The activity will seal his fate. His activity before and after will get him the needle."
Web sleuths have been floating their own unproven and arbitrary theories, and this was one of them. Adding to the thread, another user wrote, "I have a hard time believing he would be stupid enough to google the victims, but he also left part of the murder weapon behind so who knows, lmao."

'An involuntary accessory?'
Another user said, "The sheath placed his DNA there, enough for probable cause, but not enough IMO for conviction, but some say it will be." A fourth user wrote, "Well, when you buy a kabar knife, it comes in a sheath. I guess you could call it an involuntary accessory? I'm not saying 100% the murder weapon was a kabar, I don't have the information. Just that if we take LE at face value, the sheath comes with the knife, and the killer left it behind. Potentially."
