'This Is Us' Season 5 Finale: Will Nicky find long-lost love Sally Brooks? Fans hope he gets a 'second chance'

The last episode of 'This is Us', which was titled 'Jerry 2.0', showed us Kevin Pearson's (Justin Hartley) rather unconventional bachelor party where Kevin, Randall Pearson (Sterling K Brown), Nicky Pearson (Griffin Dunne), Toby Damon (Chris Sullivan) and Miguel Rivas (Jon Huertas) all sat around and watched 'Jerry Maguire'. It may not sound like the kind of activity that could open a can of worms in the relationship department, but that's exactly what it does when Uncle Nicky compares Kevin to Jerry Maguire. Nicky says like Maguire, Kevin is more in love with his children than the girl he's marrying.

This leads to quite a war of words between Kevin and his uncle but when the dust finally settles, it turns out that romance of any sort, romantic comedies, romantic dramedies, anything with romance doesn't bring out the best in Nicky. After all, as he admits, his last and only romantic relationship was 50 years ago and ended before it even really began.

But is the wedding fever now getting to Uncle Nicky? We see him at the end of the last episode looking for his one love Sally Brooks online. Will he be successful and if he is, will there be a surprise guest at the wedding. Fans seem to think so. One fan on YouTube said, "not related to this promo BUT nicky looking sally up? and that wedding ring on his finger from one of the flashbacks? I'm thinking nicky might get that second chance..."

Another fan concurred on Instagram, saying, "It all makes sense, Nicky had that ring on his finger in the future so let’s hope he finds Sally!" One fan on Twitter is clearly looking forward to Uncle Nicky not always being the stag, tweeting, "Will Uncle Nicky may have a plus one at the wedding?"

With Season 6 of 'This Is Us' all set to be the last season of the Pearson family drama, fans feel this could be a great way to end the show, even coming up with a couple name for Nicky and Sally. One fan tweeted, "I wanna see a wedding between Nicky and Sally in the last season! #Nally"
