NBC's 'This Is Us' to end with Season 6, emotional fans want 'Jack flashbacks' and spin-offs of favorite show

Fans got emotional after show creator Dan Fogelman announced that Season 6 would be the final season of the show

All good things must come to an end, and the same now goes for the much-loved family drama 'This Is Us'. Fans were in for some waterworks and for once it was not because of the show's tearjerking scripts. Fans got emotional after show creator Dan Fogelman announced that Season 6 would be the final season of the show.

Fans, however, were surprisingly philosophical about the last season announcement and in fact, are already clamoring to share what they would like to see more of in Season 6.

One fan tweeted, "Need the back story of how Miguel and Rebecca got together." While others wondered about various other characters who seemed to have disappeared on the show. One fan tweeted, "What happened to Jack's Mom? Why wasn't Nicky at his Father's bedside before he died??"

Others had just one pressing question, how much more of Jack would be back on screen? Not surprisingly since Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) is perhaps the most loved member not just of the Pearson clan, but fans too.

One fan tweeted, "@MiloVentimiglia @NBCThisisUs @ThisIsUsWriters Serious Question: How many more Jack flashbacks can we look forward to?! Our hearts need some prep time. Strong Suggestion: A special release of compiled Flashback Jack moments!! #ThisIsUs."

While the Pearsons are the soul of the show, some of the other characters have also stolen hearts as fans are already suggesting spin-offs. One fan tweeted, "So can we get a spin off? Like “This is Dejah” or “This is Malik”? We’d love to see other stories unfold." Others felt that the decision for the show to come to an end was a wise one since it will be on a high note. One fan tweeted, "I’m so happy that you’re ending the show while it’s on top, and not over doing it. Sometimes shows don’t know when to quit & it ruins the integrity of the show."

For the stars of the show, however, this ending is bittersweet. Mandy Moore who plays Rebecca Pearson on the show posted on Instagram, "Officially official. One season left of my favorite job. You can bet we will be soaking in every single moment. #thisisus." So will the fans Mandy.
