'This is Us' Season 4 Episode 2: Chris Sullivan sheds his fat suit as Toby gets ripped, and Randall is unhinged

It definitely seems like Sullivan, who has been criticized by many for wearing a fat suit for his character as Toby is finally shedding it and showing off his real body.

The Season 4 premiere of 'This is Us' blew our minds in a way we did not know was possible, expanding the universe back into the far past and into the distant future; new characters were introduced and new storylines were teased, but it is time to get back to the stories of the OG family. In the upcoming Season 4 Episode 2 of the NBC show, we will get to see the stories of the Big Three explored further in their current storylines.

Based on the promo for the upcoming episode, we will get to see Toby (Chris Sullivan) and Kate (Chrissy Metz) embracing parenthood and deciding that despite their son's apparent disability, he will live a life without limits. We hear Kate say as much, even as her mother Rebecca (Mandy Moore) agrees wholeheartedly. They definitely followed through on the promise, because based on the first episode of the series, he is a successful musician with a wife than loves him and a child of his own on the way.

We were teased throughout the hiatus that being parents would change Kate and Toby's lives forever and that the banter that is so characteristic of them may not occur as frequently. The promo for 'The Pool: Part Two', however, shows that they are still as silly and fun as they used to be. On an interesting little side note, Toby seems to have lost a lot of weight and is seen flexing in the episode, as Kate exclaims, "Holy crap!"-  a sentiment we wholeheartedly agree with.

It definitely seems like Sullivan, who has been criticized by many for wearing a fat suit for his character as Toby is finally shedding it and showing off his real body.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Kate' brother Randall is adjusting to a new life Philadelphia as a newly elected Councilman, and according to the papers, he is "unhinged." He certainly seems to be embracing this personality, promising a lot more from the politician who has woken up within Randall. The upcoming episode may also see the debut of M Night Shyamalan as himself in Kevin's (Justin Hartley) storyline.

Don't forget to watch Season 4 Episode 2 of 'This is Us' on Tuesday, October 1.
