Theresa Cain: Ohio mom kills 3 family members and turns gun on herself, leaves daughter fighting for life
CLERMONT COUNTY, OHIO: A Georgia native who recently moved to Ohio was discovered dead along with three of his family members. His daughter, 20, was also hurt and is in serious condition. The Clermont County Sheriff's Office in Ohio revealed they were delivering civil papers to a residence on Monday when they heard gunshots as they got close. Upon entering the house, they discovered four victims had been killed and a fifth was in critical condition.
Officials identified the victims as Steven Cain, 50; Theresa Cain, 46; William Felton, 74; and Ethan Cain, 13. 20-year-old Samantha Cain was rushed to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she is still in serious condition. Later, investigators came to the conclusion that 46-year-old Theresa Cain, a mother of two, had shot her family members before shooting herself.

Who was Steven Cain?
Steven Cain was identified as the main singer of the Ohio-based thrash metal group Critical Khaos, as per WSBTV. In a post on the band's Facebook page, he claimed to have been reared in Augusta, Georgia, before relocating to Connecticut in 2012 and the Cincinnati region in 2015. Per the post, he worked in environmental and safety management at an R&D facility and has published 13 collections of poems, short stories, and a horror novel.

"Let's please take some time to remember Steve and how we can pay tribute to him moving forward... Please... Please..." wrote the devastated band on their social media page. "Keep his daughter Samantha in your prayers as she is the only survivor whom is fighting for her life right now as we speak." They added, "We as a band, are just blown away at the situation and some of the responses we received were just insane.." The band has not disclosed details about when and where Steve will be laid to rest. "We are in touch with Steve's immediate family and speaking to them daily," they noted.

According to the sheriff's office, Theresa is believed to have shot herself in the head. Alicia Humphrey, who resides near the Cain family home, claims she didn't get to know the family well, but says they seemed like any other family. "There are people who are struggling out there at times," stated Humphrey. "I think we just never know. All we can do is pray for that family," reports Fox 19.
Who was Ethan Cain?
Ethan attended New Richmond School, according to a statement made public on Monday by Superintendent Tracey Miller. "Ethan was loved by students and staff alike, and his loss leaves a tremendous hole in the heart of our district and our community," part of the statement reads. The rest of the message asks for prayers for Samantha, a recent graduate of New Richmond High School, according to Miller. A GoFundMe has been set up to assist with her medical costs.
