'The Woods': Gripping Polish thriller has fans hooked, say they need Season 2 of this incredible show
Spoilers for 'The Woods'
Netflix's 'The Woods' based on a novel of the same name by author Harlan Coben, dropped yesterday with six thrilling episodes. With narration that told viewers stories of the past and present, it is definitely a binge-worthy series and fans took to the streaming service for a night in. In 1994, Artur Perkowski, Kamila Kopinski, Monika Sowik and Daniel Kotler had gone into the woods during a summer camp and this is when tragedy hit. The bodies of Monika and Daniel were found in the woods but Artur and Kamila were never found. Six hours of an intense murder mystery brings to light the mysteries behind the night Pawel Kopiński (Grzegorz Damięcki) lost his sister, Kamila, as he tries to fit pieces together to find out the truth.
"If you don’t mind reading subs then I suggest #TheWoods on Netflix for you to watch this weekend. You’re welcome!" tweeted a fan. Another said, "This was a f good 6h of tv!!! I need more of this story, music and acting #TheWoods." The series is a gripping one as fans didn't find out till the last episode if Kamila was dead or alive. Although we do see Pawel reunite with his sister after Artur's mother reveals to him where she was, we don't get to see Kamila's face as an adult. We don't know if that added to the suspense but the series has grabbed fans' attention. "Watching#TheWoods on @netflix and I'm hooked! @HarlanCoben," wrote a fan with another one saying, "As they're about to wrap up the finale, I was thinking they don't need to produce a second season but then, Kamila happened lol Ok, I need S02 soon lol #TheWoods."
This is not the first Netflix series that has adapted Coben's work, "Harlan Coben is a f*****g genius. #Safe #TheStranger #TheWoods are all incredible. I cannot get enough!! @HarlanCoben." The polish drama not only showcases a dynamic cast and incredible acting but has amazing cinematography and directional excellence. If you're a fan of Coben novels or are into the thriller genre, these six episodes will have you at the edge of your seat with one question: what happened on that summer night in the woods?
All 6 episodes of 'The Woods' are available to stream on Netflix.
