LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The newest spin-off from 'The Walking Dead' revolves around Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) escape from the CRM and his eventual return to his family and community in Alexandria.

The previous four episodes have chronicled his experiences within the CRM and his numerous escape attempts. Despite Michonne's (Danai Gurira) arrival, escaping has proven challenging for Rick.

Nonetheless, he is presented with a golden opportunity and newfound motivation from Michonne to orchestrate a significant escape.

However, the prospect of returning home remains a distant dream for the couple at this point.

Rick and Michonne's journey back home hits a snag when Jadis Stokes (Pollyanna McIntosh) tracks them down and attempts to eliminate them.

She explains that their disappearance raised suspicion, leading her to join the reclamation team in investigating the crash site.

After the CRM helicopter obliterated Rick's crashed aircraft and the surrounding structure to erase evidence, Jadis revisited the site for further inspection. Discovering clues of their survival, Jadis set out to pursue the couple.

When she finally locates them in a cabin, she launches an attack by firing guns held in each hand. However, Rick and Michonne narrowly evade the assault, managing to wound Jadis in retaliation.

After a pursuit and ensuing confrontation, Jadis falls victim to a walker bite and succumbs to her injuries.

Rick now faces fresh challenges, understanding that Jadis' death marks not the end of their troubles but the start of new threats.

In the aftermath of Jadis's disappearance, the CRM will undoubtedly launch an investigation, leading them to discover a file in her possessions containing crucial details about Alexandria.

In her final moments, Jadis discloses that the file can be located in her quarters at the Cascadia base. Consequently, Rick and Michonne resolve to return to the CRM.

Michonne will undertake the mission of finding and destroying Jadis' file, while Rick will receive the Echelon Briefing to learn the secrets and ultimate objectives of the CRM, thus taking them down before finally heading back home.

Five episodes of 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live' are currently streaming on AMC.
