Spoilers for 'The Walking Dead' - AMC series and comics

Fans have been eagerly waiting for AMC's 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 finale for about six months now. It was originally supposed to air in April 2020, but, like many other productions, we expected this delay, and now we can't help but speculate how the series will end. The Season 10 finale, titled 'A Certain Doom' will bring us the long-awaited Whisperer War and we speculate that this would end the Whisperer arc since Alpha is dead, and we're hoping that Beta is also nearing his death. What we're expecting as a fan of Robert Kirkman's comic book series is an introduction to the Commonwealth storyline as it would only make sense to bring in the civilization into the plot now.

We know that Eugene (Josh McDermitt), King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), and Princess (Paola Lázaro) are together, and we also know that Eugene is in contact with Stephanie (Margot Bingham). We would assume that the group will be lead to the Commonwealth, which is a huge part of the comics. Not to mention, it was reported that Bingham, who has been voicing Stephanie (we have yet to see her face in the series) has been cast into an "unspecified role" and the aforementioned quad are on their way to meet her. According to reports, she could be the first Commonwealth character to be cast into the series. So while the Beta showdown ends, we are most likely being sprung into the Commonwealth arc in the upcoming Season 11 of the series.

The only information we would have about the society is that explained in the comics, but it's safe to say that the quad is not going to be up against people trying to kill them. In the comics, the Commonwealth is a full-on society based in Ohio that houses many people that have established a place in this post-apocalyptic world. The society has the means to live on because of the way they are able to sustain themselves through technology and farming among many other things. People that live there are respected based on what they can provide their society with. We know that the quad that's about to meet Stephanie doesn't lack in survivable skills, but we wonder how they will be placed in this place of higher sustainability.

It should also be noted that Scott Gimple, an executive producer of the series said, "The Commonwealth is its own thing. There are a lot of changes to the comic story and the show, but it is important to me, and to Angela, to tell the story from the comic. There might be some weird minor ways that it touches, if at all, but it’s a version of the story from the comic." So, with Princess already in the picture, we're hoping the Commonwealth arc isn't too far and a small introduction in the Season 10 finale would suffice for most fans who would be satisfied knowing that Season 11 will pick up on the arc. The Whisperer tyranny has gone on too long.

Season 10 at 'The Walking Dead' will air on October 4, 2020, at 9 pm ET on AMC.
