'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 13: Fans hope Michonne's departure and Rick's return could mean a movie
Spoilers for 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 13 'What We Become’
Michonne's (Danai Gurira) goes to find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), possibly to bring him back. And fans are hoping that we could see the OGs in an upcoming movie?
'What We Become' shows Michonne telling Judith Grimes that her father, Rick, may be alive. Michonne had found evidence that her missing husband may be alive. The scenes with his boots and a cellphone with a drawing of Judith and her etched into it were possibly the tear-jerkers of the episode.
After accusing Virgil (Kevin Carroll) of a set-up, she goes off to find Rick with Judith's blessing. Bringing the old days back, she finds two zombies that she then neutered and uses as camouflage to start her journey. She then comes across a woman and a man that looks wounded. Seeing a convoy heading north, she gives in to their begging and kills some zombies.
"Ah man I’m so confused. Is Michonne disappearing from the show like Maggie disappeared? Who walks away from their children like that? Is this headed towards yet another spin-off? Movie? How many people remain from original cast now, Daryl & Carol #WALKINGDEAD," tweeted a fan.
"Be it in the #walkingdead movie or #TWD series finale, Rick needs to be reunited with Michonne, Judith & he must meet his son Rick Jr. We must have scenes with all 4 of them together & they must stay alive. If not then the movies will be for nothing. @ScottMGimple #TalkingDead," tweeted another dedicated fan.
While the comic book had a different narrative for Michonne, could her leaving the series mean a movie storyline that she's back? How do you squeeze the intensity of a zombie apocalypse in a movie, with the two oldest and remarkable characters from the series? Fans were impressed with the episode, that took us back in time with alternate decisions, "Oh so it was a 'what if' type of situation. What if Michonne didn’t help Andrea and ended up crossing paths with Negan’s crew first. Very interesting. Also when the heck this #WalkingDead movie coming out? Great episode although next week’s episode looks crazy good!!!," tweeted a fan.
It would mean the world to the fans if they had Rick and Michonne back on the show. "Really hope this isn’t the end for @DanaiGurira, but this episode was amazing. . .really hope her and Andrew Lincoln bring the #WALKINGDEAD movie to life!," tweeted a fan.
