'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 12: Negan lauded for slitting Alpha's throat and fans say 'Beta is next'

This episode titled 'Walk With Us' had fans reeling as the death toll rises with Alpha (Samantha Morton) finally getting what's coming to her. Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was revealed to be a double agent and while we are yet to forgive him for the death of Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), he redeemed himself by killing the show's most epic villains.

Neegan lured Alpha into a cabin claiming that he had caught Alpha's daughter Lydia. While Alpha reveals that she wants Negan to take up the mantle as the leader of The Whisperers, Negan focuses his talking point on his late wife Lucille (also the name of his trusty nailed baseball bat). He explained that it destroyed what made him human and Alpha responds that she wants to set Lydia free because she loves her.
As Alpha entered the cabin, now empty, we realize that Negan let Lydia go and Alpha succumbs to a sliced throat and the kiss of death.

Negan is out here reveling in glory as fans try to forgive his old antics. "I’ll NEVER forgive Negan for killing Glenn, but not gonna lie, he’s definitely grown on me a little bit for taking out Alpha. Still has a long way to go to prove that he really has changed his ways. #TWD #TheWalkingDead TWDFamily," tweeted another fan.
As the show bids goodbye to the primary antagonist of the second half of Season 9 and the whole of Season 10, fans praised the woman behind the potrayal of TV's most accosted villain. "'Death set her free' Thank you Samantha Morton for portraying one of the most chilling, hair raising, brutal and most memorable villains in #TWD history with such passion. I won't miss Alpha, but it's sad to see such a talent like Samantha leave the show. #TheWalkingDead," tweeted a fan bidding adieu to the shows epic portrayal of the battle of minds.
"As happy as I am that Negan FINALLY took out Alpha... I want to thank Samantha Morton for portraying Alpha so fantastically! Absolutely nailed the creepiness of her... right down to her voice & looks. Amazing job. #twd #TheWalkingDead @samthesparrow," tweeted another appreciative fan.
Fans continue to speculate what's next for the zombie crowd. "Okay but why did Negan tie up Lydia? And why would Carol try so hard to kill alpha if she knew Negan was out there? Shook, GREAT EPISODE! #TheWalkingDead (sic)," tweeted a confused fan.
"Carol knew most of this would probably happen even Hilltop falling... she had one goal and that was Alpha getting killed... letting Negan out was genius and she got the job done... what follows now should be exciting. #TWD #TheWalkingDead," tweeted another speculative fan.
