‘The Voice’: Holly Forbes picks Team Kelly, fans say she is ‘about to be next Adele’

Round three of ‘The Voice’ season 21 blind auditions held on Monday, September 27 left the viewers asking for more after Holly Forbes’ audition got a four-chair turn but the episode ended without showing whom the singer picked as her coach. Settling all things first, the round four of ‘The Voice’ blinds held on Tuesday, September 28 kicked off with Holly Forbes making her final decision.
 
The Kentucky-based mother of two had serenaded the judges with her rendition of Elton John’s iconic song ‘Rocket Man’. Holly Forbes’ audition was full of twists and turns as we witnessed Ariana Grande blocking John Legend to make sure the latter doesn’t get to bag the very talented singer. Ariana got lucky with the block as she had turned only a millisecond before John Legend pressed the red buzzer to turn around his big red chair. Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton too ended up turning around giving Holly the deserving four-chair turn.

Ariana or Kelly: Whom did Holly Forbes finally pick?

After witnessing a lot of drama and keeping the audience on the edge for a day, Holly Forbes finally unraveled the mystery as she picked Kelly Clarkson as her coach for the rest of ‘The Voice’ journey. This left Kelly in utter shock as it was believed that Holly might go for Ariana Grande after the latter used the block. However, things did not turn out as expected.

Before taking the final call, Holly had said that she grew up listening to Kelly which made the renowned singer quite ecstatic. The decision made Kelly Clarkson jump out of her seat as she also spent a moment sitting on the floor in disbelief. Speaking to the cameras, Kelly said, “The cool thing about Holly is that she has a little edge to her vocal and I love that.” She concluded that it is going to be a great team together.
 



 



 

 
‘Knew it yesterday that she would pick Kelly’

Social media users, who eagerly waited for the latest episode to air, thronged to Twitter the moment Holly picked Kelly as her coach. “I was promised an epic win for #TeamKelly & y'all didn't disappoint!! Congrats Holly”, said one user as another pitched in and asserted, “Go #TeamKelly! Your the best coach ever!” The next one added, “I don’t have the voice for The Voice, but hands down I’d chose @kellyclarkson all the way because I have listened to all the artist, but Kelly and her music saved my life more than once. She’s amazing!”
 
One user tweeted, “I knew it yesterday that she would pick Kelly.” Whereas, another person added, “I KNEW it! Perfect choice. Holly's about to be the next Adele now.” And, one concluded, “Please give The Voice Band A RAISE STAT! the way they peformed ROCKET MAN with Holly Forbes was PHENOMENALLY TALENTED!!!!!!
