Team Blake’s members namely Libianca and Tommy Edwards were two other skilled performers who floored the coaches and the audience with their thrilling set on The Weeknd’s ‘Save Your Tears (Remix)’. The two went for a face-off on the second day of ‘The Voice’ season 21 battles where we also saw contestants like Hailey Green and Lana Scott, Katherine Ann Mohler and Vaughn Mugol as well as Brittany Bree and Samara Brown going head-to-head.

The latest battle between Libianca and Tommy Edwards, however, was shown as a montage that did not go down well with the Internet. A lot of social media users took to Twitter to slam the singing reality show for not broadcasting the full performance since Team Blake's Libianca is one of the strong contenders on the show. Apart from Libianca and Tommy Edwards' battle, Xavier Cornel and Carolina Alonso got the same treatment during the face-off.

Libianca beats Tommy Edwards to move to knockouts

Libianca, who looked stunning in a blue formal outfit, easily managed to mesmerize the coaches with her high notes and powerful vocals. Tommy Edwards, who performed extremely well in the blind auditions, failed to advance in the next round as Blake Shelton without thinking twice went for Libianca. The battle that was merely shown for 15 seconds on Tuesday, October 12 was surprising for many as Libianca was one of the highlights during the blind auditions.

The 20-year-old Libianca had sung her rendition of SZA’s ‘Good Days’ during the blinds that got the attention of Blake Shelton and Ariana Grande. The Cameroon singer, who is a huge Ariana Grande fan, ultimately went for Team Blake which proved to be surprising for Ariana. Speaking of the latest battle during episode eight, Blake Shelton shed light on his team, saying, “My team’s shaping up to be dynamite, incredible and unstoppable.” Talking about Libianca, Blake added, “Libianca just has such a unique voice and her tone is so different, and I am interested to see what songs she chooses for these knockouts.”
