Who is Ciana Pelekai? 20-year-old 'The Voice' contestant is a reality show veteran already
Ciana Pelekai is all set to bring her considerable experience in reality shows to 'The Voice'. The 20-year-old from Hawaii has competed twice on 'America's Got Talent'. The first time was when she was age eight in Season 4 when she got eliminated in the Vegas round. She then took part in the show again at age 12 in Season 8, where she was eliminated in the quarter finals.
Ciana clearly always had stars in her eyes as she began singing at the age of four and was taking vocal lessons by the time she was six years old. She classifies herself as an R&B singer. In 2010, Ciana was selected as one of Maury Povich's most talented kids and was given the opportunity to perform on his talk show.

While Ciana is inspired by several artists such as Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Etta James, Christina Aguilera and Aretha Franklin, it's her sister who is her biggest inspiration. In addition to performing, Ciana gives back to her community, by singing at local charity events. She has performed for the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association and other non-profit organizations in Hawaii.
