Did Kelly Clarkson get Adam Levine fired from 'The Voice'? Truth behind Blake Shelton's joke on fellow coach
One of the young contestants on the final round of blind auditions on 'The Voice' Season 20 set off a war worthy of 'Game of Thrones' when he sang Adam Levine's 'She Will Be Loved'. Keegan Ferrell, the contestant, found himself being battled over by Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton and things soon got personal. Blake Shelton said that 'She Will Be Loved' is written by his close friend Adam Levine and look at who is sitting in his chair right now.
Kelly looked shocked at Blake but gave it back saying to Shelton, "that's fine, she's just that powerful, she's Khaleesi." She then asked Keegan who would he rather have as coach, someone powerful or someone weak? This led to a whole lot of ribbing from her fellow judges who said that NBC, the network that airs 'The Voice', stands for "Nothing But Clarkson". She even has a talk show on the network.
Nick Jonas also joined in saying that the final word on whether he could return to 'The Voice' came from Clarkson. Kelly called them all liars. In case you're wondering if there is any truth to a Kelly-Levine feud, Kelly made it clear that the two of them have even toured together. Blake added in his typical tongue in cheek fashion, "And then you got him fired,"

Here's a look at the battle that ensued while an amused Keegan watched on.
Fans thought the banter between Kelly and the rest of the judges, especially Shelton, was hilarious. One fan on Instagram said, "Blake cracks me up every time hahahaha I love him! @blakeshelton." Another fan on Instagram said, "The coach BANTER this year is off the charts" Some started to take a trip down memory lane. One fan on Instagram posted, "This reminds me how much I miss Adam."
Blake's comments though, for what they're worth, did seemingly manage to influence Keegan, because the Nashville resident finally chose Team Blake. This left Kelly rather disappointed that Keegan, a pop singer, chose country superstar Blake Shelton.
When it comes to the truth behind the trolling, Kelly did not get Adam fired. The accusation was all part of the friendly banter that Blake started. Adam Levine was previously a judge on 'The Voice'. Adam left ‘The Voice’ after 16 seasons in a shocking exit which disappointed die-hard fans of the show. According to reports, he had been unhappy for a while in terms of the format of the show.
Meanwhile, Kelly didn't have a good day on 'The Voice'. In spite of working the button, several contestants chose not to go Team Kelly. However, Kelly's team was finally full with contestant Ainae, and it seems that after a low day, Team Kelly finally went out on a high note. You can catch Ainae's performance below.
