'The Voice' 2023 Finale: Fans expect drama as bitter exes Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus to come face to face
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 23's finale is about to bring some old faces back on the stage. The most controversial ones to appear are Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus. Before marrying Priyanka Chopra, Jonas dated some famous names in the Hollywood industry, including Cyrus.
Jonas and Cyrus dated each between 2006 and 2007. However, the problem between the two singers was that they have never been on good terms ever since they broke-up. Jonas rejecting Cyrus' hug post-breakup went viral as she detailed the heartbreaking moment. The 'Flowers' singer's mother was furious about it. Keeping this in mind, fans expect some real drama to happen in the finale episode of NBC's 'The Voice' Season 23.

Other than crowning the winner of Season 23, the two-part finale will have the show's regular panelists meeting some of the new faces. Former coaches of 'The Voice', Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Usher and Pharrell Williams will attend the finale. Besides these, mentor and Country legend Dolly Parton will also be present to witness the crowning ceremony. Lewis Capaldi and Alex Newell will deliver a special performance on the show. However, the most awaited singers are none other than Jonas and Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus left heartbroken as Nick Jonas denies a hug
In a viral video online, Cyrus recalled a post-breakup incident where Jonas refused to hug her. She says in the video, "Remember I broke up with and then I was like can I hug you goodbye and he said No. It was really like, 'Can I hug you goodbye?' and No." She then explained her mother's reaction to it. She said, "And my mom was like, 'If I ever get a hold of that little booger." The ''Malibu' singer added, "I was like on tour. And, I was like I can't go out there but then I put on the wig and suddenly everything was better."
At Lollapalooza 2022, Cyrus read some of the signs held by her fans. She pointed at one fan's sign as she said, "F**k Nick Jonas." She then claimed, "I didn't say it." Since there has been a cold war between Jonas and Cyrus for so long, fans can only speculate what may go down when the two come face to face during the finale.
Why did Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas break up?
For two years, Jonas and Cyrus were there for each other 24/7. The reason for their breakup was most certainly their constant arguments. MTV reported the 'Wrecking Ball' admitted that things got dark between them after the breakup. "When we were dating, Nick wanted me to get highlights, and so I did that, and I got myself looking great. And then, on the day we broke up, I was like, I want to make my hair black now. I don't want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core. I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, 'I've got to be by myself for now and just figure out who I really am.'"
There were rumors that things ended between the two Disney sweethearts because of Selena Gomez. The 'Rare' singer and Jonas started dating each other soon after, but it was never confirmed if she was the reason for the break-up.
'The Voice' Season 23 Finale Part 2 will release on May 23 at 9 pm ET on NBC.
