'The Umbrella Academy' Season 2, in its sixth episode, saw the Hargreeves family come together in an unforgettable reunion that further knocks the Seven -- Luther (Tom Hopper), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Ben (Justin H. Min), Five (Aidan Gallagher), Diego (David Casteneda) and Vanya (Ellen Page) -- down than inspire them to save humanity. Reginald Hargreeves, who adopted the Seven in the 80s is unaware of his future children in the 60s, which is when the season is set. However, considering his intelligence, after coming across Five, Diego, and Luther at different times, and having been addressed as Dad, Reginald decides to give the Seven a chance to explain themselves by inviting them over for a "light supper".

This supper turns into an entertaining family reunion for viewers and a not so entertaining event for the people involved. While Deigo doesn't hear the terrifying "I told you so" from his father, at least not then, he is made to feel like nothing when he attempts at questioning Reginald about his intentions behind being a part of the John F Kennedy assassination. All the issues that Diego had struggled with because of his father come to the fore as he struggles to stand up to the man who has bullied all of his children over the years in many ways.

On the other hand, for the first time ever, Luther -- who was considered Reginald's "Number Uno" finally stood up to his father and told him how he had experimented and used him. Allison, who Luther has been in love with since forever is even impressed by Luther's courage. However, no one captures the attention of Reginald as Five does. He asks each of them what their superpowers are, and while everyone is more or less ignored -- especially Klaus who speaks to the dead -- it is Five that Reginald seeks an audience with in private after insulting the others for not having the skills or expertise to save the world.

Does he take all the talk about an incoming apocalypse and end of the world talk from Five seriously? He doesn't care. All he wants to know is about Five's experience of traveling through time and space. What was his experience like and why did he botch it the times that he had attempted to skip through time in the past. The only advice that Reginald has for Five is that, instead of trying to jump decades in the past or future, he should try seconds and then minutes. When Five questions him about how mere seconds can help him stop an apocalypse, Reginald says that it is mere seconds that can bring down an empire or even change history.

Of course, Five -- being the annoying piece of sh** that he is doesn't understand what Reginald means until it is almost too late but Reginald leaves the Seven under the impression that he doesn't know about any of their existence until as of that moment. This impression doesn't last, however, once we see the note that Reginald leaves for Diego, who tries hard to stop President John F Kennedy's murder. The best part about the reunion, however, is Klaus getting possessed by Ben for the first time after Ben gets frustrated and tired of being ignored by Klaus all the time. Ben wants to tell his father that he is also present at the reunion, as a ghost be it as it may.

'The Umbrella Academy' Season 2 released on July 31 and all episodes can be streamed on Netflix.
