Psychics encompass people who use extra-sensory perception to obtain information that is hidden from otherwise normal senses. Psychic mediums particularly use telepathy or clairvoyance as a means of communicating with otherworldly beings ie, mediumship between the spirits of the dead and living human beings. They are familiar to us as part of extensive paranormal investigations when investigators tend to bring in a medium to carry out a psychic sweep around the location that is believed to be haunted. But what if you could speak to a deceased loved one? What would you say to them?

CBS All Access' new offering. 'The Thomas John Experience' is headlined by celebrity medium Thoman John, who journeys across America using his ability to connect people that he meets on the random with those beyond the grave. Here's everything you need to know about the show:

Plot

Thomas John, a world-renowned psychic medium travels across America, using his ability to get strangers in touch with those on the other side, mostly their deceased loved ones. He poses as a driver behind the wheel of a rideshare in Chicago, giving his unsuspecting passengers a psychic reading, out of the blue. It shows him casually strolling around a beach or even grabbing a bite to eat in Los Angeles where he approaches strangers and offers them insight and closure with his ability. Of course, he encounters his fair share of skeptics among a throng of believers, but when he ambushed them with the names or descriptions of people coming to him, they are left gobsmacked. John visits LA, New Orleans, Chicago, and Boston in 'The Thomas John Experience', where he meets people from all walks of life, including drag queens and people pf much older demographics with whom he discusses the afterlife.
