'The Sinner' Season 3 Episode 6 promo hints at Sonya's involvement in the murders, Leela grows suspicious

The upcoming Episode 6 of 'The Sinner' Season 3 lays down the foundation for the vague idea that maybe Jamie Burns is actually not behind the gruesome murders happening in an around town or so teases the episode's official promo provided by USA Network.
The clip teases another Sonya-Leela catch up and the eccentric painter can be seen discussing with Jamie's wife how disturbing the recent updates revolving her husband might be for her. Sonya asks Leela Burns, "Can you imagine waking up after all those years realizing you have no idea who your husband is?" as clips of Sonya's studio pass in the background and suddenly there's a sketch of Jamie's that pops up - hinting for the first time that Sonya might be more involved in the murders than she was initially and is still actively trying to lead on.
We have seen detective Harry Ambrose already express some subtle suspicion over Sonya's involvement, but that got overshadowed and possibly interrupted by the two of them taking things to the next level and ending up making out with each other. Now, Sonya's more of an unofficial sidekick digging into Ambrose's case surrounding Jamie, as she actively brainstorms and helps Ambrose with leads. But could this all be a facade to mask her own involvement in the murders?
During their chat, Leela tells Sonya (expectedly) that she needs to know what Jamie did, or if he did it at all. Leela wants to know if there's a smidge of the possibility that this was all an accident and that her husband isn't the demon everybody is making him out to be. But Jamie, on the other hand, can be seen pretty much losing his shit as one moment he tells Ambrose "Things are becoming clearer now," while the very next moment he practically freaks out, slamming plastic chairs against the walls and belts out screams, implying some really trying and testing times await viewers in Episode 6.
'The Sinner' Season 3 airs on Thursdays at 10 pm only on USA Network.
