HBO's long-awaited comedy series 'The Rehearsal' by Nathan Fielder will premiere on July 15 and will be streaming on HBO Max the same day. In 2019, it was announced that Fielder had signed an overall deal with HBO. He has since executive produced the network’s 'How To With John Wilson'. The new series marks Fielder’s on-screen return to television following the 2017 conclusion of the part-documentary, part-reality comedy show 'Nathan for You.'

Nathan co-created 'Nathan for You,' which ran from 2013 through 2017. In the popular series broadcast by Comedy Central, he played a satirized version of himself, also named Nathan Fielder. 'The Rehearsal,' which was ordered by HBO in 2021, features Fielder as a man who questions how much of his life is written for himself. In the six-episode series, Fielder will utilize a group of artists and other professionals to help him manufacture a life so he can “rehearse” key moments.
