Spoiler alert for episode 6 of 'The Red Shadows'

Aurore Garnier (Nadia Farès) is dead, and gone with her are the pieces of evidence against Baptisti. Although the Garniers are devastated by the tragic death of a family member, they are rather entangled with their own issues.

In the final episode of ‘The Red Shadows’, Romain decides to call it quits on his relationship with Jeanne Forand (Héléna Soubeyrand) following Aurore’s demise. However, during his visitation, he finds a piece of his wife's bracelet lying in Jeanne’s house, which helps him identify Aurore’s killer.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to bring justice to Aurore and herself, Clara Ivaldi (Manon Azem) goes to Baptisti's and threatens him at a gunpoint to reveal to her who her real father is. However, before she could make him spill the beans, Baptisti gets shot in the head by a stranger, who eventually abducts Clara.

While Jacques Garnier's (Antoine Duléry) is alarmed by Clara’s repeated abduction, Paul seems calm and even agrees to offer the ransom, overlooking the crime and the perils it could bring to the family. Unable to comprehend his father’s actions, when Jacques confronts Paul, the latter accepts his involvement with Bapisti in all the crimes he has committed.

He tells Jacques that he approached Baptisti to kidnap Clara to instill fear in Isabella. But, Baptisti took advantage of it and continued to blackmail Paul for years.

Although Paul manages to evade the situation with Jacques, he ends up earning Frédéric's (Raphaël Lenglet) wrath by speaking ill of his mother. When the head of the Garniers goes about slut-shaming Isabella, offended by the disrespect shown towards his mother, Frédéric ends up killing Paul.

Meanwhile, Jacques goes to the abandoned house with the ransom money to free Clara. However, unlike the first time, Jacques manages to save himself and Clara by enlisting Antonie and Romain’s help. Paul’s death helped the Garnier siblings a big deal in understanding their own lives better. But, no amount of bloodshed has brought Clara anywhere close to the truth, as she continues to rack her brain about her true identity.
