HANOI, VIETNAM: Joe Biden was sent off stage! The 46th president was found rambling and confused while answering journalists in Vietnam. The bizarre incident occurred on Sunday, September 10, in Hanoi when his mic was cut off and jazz music could be heard playing in the background as an indication to walk off the stage.

“We talked about stability, we talked about the Third World, excuse me, the Southern Hemisphere has access to change. It wasn't confrontational at all...,” Biden said as he fumbled in his speech.

"If this man won the 2020 election with the most significant number of voters on record, why can't he simply answer a question from reporters?" commented a user.

"President Trump just talked for two hours with over 30,000 people, Biden can't get even 100 people, this is what the majority of Americans, we won," wrote another.

Karine Jean-Pierre to the rescue

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had to step in and announce that the press conference was ‘over.’ "Thank you everybody. This ends the press conference. Thanks, everyone,” she said.

It was a bit of an embarrassing situation for the president as he continued with his speech, not realizing his mic had been turned off.

The 80-year-old tried to answer a few more questions, but the jazz music grew louder, almost forcing Biden to shuffle offstage as he disappeared behind a black curtain.

Biden at the G20 Leaders’ Summit

Biden was in India for the G20 Leaders’ Summit and after spending two days in New Delhi, he flew to Vietnam to strengthen the diplomatic ties between the two countries.

During the 26-minute press conference, the president shared a story from one of John Wayne’s movies, joking about his tight schedule during an Asian tour, reports Daily Mail.

“And the Indian looks at John Wayne and points to the Union soldier and says, 'He's a lying dog-faced pony soldier.' Well, there are a lot of lying dog-faced pony soldiers out there about global warming. But not anymore,” Biden said. “All of a sudden, they're all realizing it's a problem.”

“It is evening isn't it?” Biden said at the top of the press conference. “This around the world in five days is interesting.”

Biden also joked that the schedule was “no problem.” “I can imagine. It is evening, I'd like to remind you," a BBC reporter said to the president.

The questions during the press conference were focused on China, Russia, and North Korea. Many reacted to the gaffe during press conferences.

“This man is a total embarrassment & joke for us here in the USA and to the world. Biden a non-veteran received 5 deferrments during the VN war. I am a VN veteran who was not drafted but volunteered.” A second user wrote, "He is an embarrassment to our country. Every lib who voted for this clown should apologize to the country."
