Spoiler alert for 'The Outsider’ Season 1

HBO's supernatural thriller series 'The Outsider', based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, has introduced the villain El Cuco, the tear drinker in its daunting episodes. Episode 8, titled 'Foxhead', brought the mythical folklore to creepy human form and fans are praising the show's delivery of fiction.

In this episode, we saw the team, including the usually skeptical Detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), chase Claude Bolton (Paddy Considine), the possible next victim of El Cuco.

The series has accustomed us to a slower pace and while that had made fans restless earlier. Now it seems to be filling the lull with relevant goose-bump worthy information.

"A miracle ladies & gentlemen Ralph is finally going to do smth that is 'out of this world el coco related' #TheOutsider," tweeted a fan about Anderson hesitation to help the case move forward with a supernatural suspect.

The episode revealed a bit more of El Cuco allowing fans to grasp its insanities and putting them on a thrilling edge.

Fans of King's literary genius tweeted their support for the thriller series. "I'm a lifelong, avid Stephen King 'Constant Reader' since elementary school, so I do not say this lightly... #TheOutsider show is better than its source. I enjoyed the book, but the show has expanded that world, and frankly, I prefer Cynthia Erivo's Holly."

"And @maxbeesley7 is far more interesting than Claude's chain-smoking, geriatric mother with emphysema, so I especially approve of the change from accommodating mama Bolton to Bolton bro with an attitude. The extra tension works. #TheOutsider," the thread continued.

Another fan of King's also chimed in tweeting, "#TheOutsider is an excellent slow burn. Makes me wanna reread the book again."

The show started off to a hectic premiere with expectations to adhere to King's novel surfacing social media. Now, it seems to have taken Sunday evenings by wind.

"The Outsider is beautiful to watch if ya know what I mean. The shots are so clever and the colors are so turquoise, grey, and green toned. I love it #TheOutsider," tweeted another fan.

HBO's rendition of the folklore has impressed fans, with one tweeting, "#TheOutsider is so good, easily one of the best book adaptations I’ve seen in awhile. Ben Mendelsohn & Cynthia Erivo are fantastic. There’s this creepy presence that you just feel in every scene and I love it."

We completely agree. 'The Outsider' airs on Sundays at 9 pm EST (8 pm CST) on HBO.
