'The Old Man & The Gun': Robert Redford pulls off a string of bank heists in gripping new trailer
A brand new trailer for the upcoming drama 'The Old Man & the Gun' by Fox Searchlight is finally here and it looks every bit as gripping as the name. Based on the true story of Forrest Tucker — the expert conman who was known for making a career out of bluffing authorities and organizing skillful bank heists — the movie stars Robert Redford in the lead role of the lifelong criminal. Despite his crimes and deception, Tucker maintained a facade of a perfect gentleman throughout — which only adds to the intrigue around his character.
Coming from 'A Ghost Story' and 'Ain’t Them Bodies Saints' filmmaker, David Lowery — who is going to write and direct the film — starring next to Redford will be Casey Affleck in the role of the mastermind detective who achieves the impossible and finally catches Forrest Tucker for good. What makes the trailer so extraordinarily is the remarkable 16mm cinematography by Joe Anderson of 'Don’t Think Twice'. The trailer is visually exquisite and engaging.
