'The New Look' Episode 5 Preview: Coco Chanel struggles to stay relevant in Swiss glamour world
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fifth episode of the hottest biographical drama on the block, 'The New Look,' is scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 28 at midnight.
The first four episodes of the series, which have garnered immense love and appreciation, established the gritty nature of the fashion business during World War II.
The ten-part series follows fashion designers Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche) as they strive to rebuild the fashion industry after the Nazi occupation crumbled the fashion capital of the world.
When will 'The New Look' Season 5 air?
With a duration of around 50–60 minutes, the fifth episode of the series, entitled 'Give Your Heart and Soul to Me,' will debut on Wednesday, February 28 at midnight.
The series, which debuted on Wednesday, February 14, had its first three episodes released on the same day and will have its finale on April 3.
What can we expect from 'The New Look' Episode 5?
The fourth episode centers on Coco, who, under stress from her German connections and the possibility of public humiliation, chooses to go into self-exile in Switzerland.
In the concluding moments of the fourth episode, Coco, along with her nephew André Palasse (Joseph Olivennes) and his daughter Gabrielle (Alice Haldane), were seen crossing the French and Swiss borders, which in reality is a well-documented aspect of her life.
In the fifth episode, it will be shown that Coco will continue to stay in Switzerland while trying to find a way back to Paris as she struggles to stay relevant in the Swiss glamour world owing to her status as an outsider.
Christian, who was demotivated by her sister Catherine Dior's (Maisie Williams) incarceration, may eventually see her sister when she is rescued from Ravensbruck in May 1945, which is in line with the show's current timeline.
Furthermore, Christian's career will explode, and he will establish himself as a prominent designer in the fashion world.
'The New Look' is now streaming on Apple TV+.
