'The Morning Show'epsiode 7: Will Bradley cave in to Mitch's demands of an interview?

Bradley refuses point blank, of course. But there's a faint chance that she might actually go ahead with it.

Contains spoilers for episode 7 'Open Water'.

When we meet Bradley Jackson this week on 'The Morning Show', in a surprising turn of events she is taking a walk in the park with none other than the man she replaced - Mitch Kessler. Mitch - like most public figures accused in the #MeToo movement - wants Bradley to interview him, to get his side of the story out to the public. Bradley refuses point blank, of course. But there's a faint chance that she might actually go ahead with it.

Mitch opens the conversation with how Bradley jumped into the elevator with Mitch just a week ago, to get him to reveal all the people from the network who were complicit in the sexual misconduct being alleged against him. Being the experienced man he is, Mitch tempts Bradley with the prospect of spilling it all to her in all its elaborate Shakespearean glory, but there's a catch: she has to interview him the way she did with Ashley - Mitch's accuser.

Mitch says he wants his own platform back to tell his story and Bradley just straight up tells him an interview is not going to happen. Mitch even tempts her with ratings going up and reminds her how she isn't someone who adheres to public opinions - kind of a deja vu thing if you remember how network head Cory got Bradley to join the network in the first place. Bradley might be smart, but she does need to establish herself as more than just the fresh face waiting for Alex Levy to step down, so she can replace her. And Mitch is a good manipulator, if not anything else: he paints a picture of himself as a "disgraced predator talking about his reprehensible behavior" - an angle that anybody in Bradley's position would leap to snatch from everybody else.

It is, however, what Mitch tempts Bradley next with that convinces us that Bradley might go against her better judgment and invest in interviewing Mitch. Mitch talks about how his interview will "lift the veil that protects the corporate puppet masters, who quite frankly run the whole f*cking country." Things get only more intertwined when Bradley tries to protest saying Alex would never agree to this, and Mitch retorts in agreement, saying "Alex would never do this for a myriad of reasons, the main one being she is hardly innocent herself." This not only confirms Bradley's suspicion over Alex's integrity surrounding the accusations but could likely also make her doubt this new compassionate, amicable side of Alex that she has been seeing towards herself.

Bradley might be smart, but there's nothing she is passionate about more than outing the full truth. So if Mitch does stand steady on his side of the deal, there's a high chance the interview is very much happening.

'The Morning Show' episode 7 premiered on Thursday, November 28, only on Apple TV+.
