'The Masked Singer' Season 3: Turtle rocks the stage with his performance and fans are sure it's Jesse McCartney

'The Masked Singer' returned tonight and it was time for the Super 9 to take the stage. From Group A it was the Turtle, Kangaroo and the White Tiger; from Group B it was The Banana, Kitty and Frog and from Group C it was the mysterious Night Angel, Rhino and Astronaut competing to advance to the next round.

The first one to take the stage was everyone's favorite — Turtle. He sang 'Higher Love' by Steve Winwood. Everyone knows the person behind the Turtle mask can sing, but tonight he took it a notch higher. Not only did he sound good but he also made good use of the stage and delivered a cracking performance, sending the studio audience as well as the judges into a tizzy. By the end of his performance, everyone was on their feet, cheering hard for him. Nicole Scherzinger told him, "You really move so nicely on stage and you sound so good and you have such good range."

Since this was an April Fool's special — Nick switched it up. As opposed to the previous seasons where the masked singers had to tell the judges about who they are, this time it was time for them to give a clue about who they weren't. The Turtle went with a vague clue and said, "I'm not known for just one thing," and had the judges guessing.

Robin Thicke went with Drew Lachey while Nicole Scherzinger went with Nick Lachey as her guess and the superhero mention in the clue package led to Jenny going with Chris Evans while Ken Jeong went with Brian Littrell.

Now we all know that fans of the show have already taken their guess as Jesse McCartney for the person under the turtle mask since he made his appearance on the show but surprisingly the judgesare yet to name him in their guesses. "It’s wild that the judges on The Masked Singer haven’t guessed that the turtle is @JesseMcCartney yet. It’s just so obvious!!! @MaskedSingerFOX," read a tweet.

Jesse McCartney has always remained a popular guess among the audiences and after tonight's performance, it has become stronger.

"Listen if there’s one god damn thing in this world that I know... it’s that @JesseMcCartney is the turtle on the masked singer. I WOULD KNOW THAT VOICE ANYWHERE," read a tweet.

Another tweet read, "Listening to Jesse McCartney dressed as a turtle on the Masked Singer just to feel something."

'The Masked Singer' airs Wednesday nights on Fox. Check your local listings for more information.
