'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Hall of Fame Night: Gopher mask is George Clinton (FOX)

'The Masked Singer' Season 8 titled 'Hall of Fame Night' brought three new masked singers and two guest panelists. We saw Bride, Venus Flytrap, and Gopher competing with each other. Moreover, the Hall of Fame Night episode was Leslie Jordan's last performance on FOX. Along with Jordan, we saw Joe McHale judging the masked singers in Episode 7.

Venus Flytrap's mask was eliminated in the middle of the episode and was unmasked as George Foreman. This made Gopher and Bride go-ahead for the Battle Royale round. We saw both masked singers performing their own rendition of 'All Star' by Smash Mouth. After the battle royal round, the audience voted out Gopher, therefore declaring Bride the King of the episode. The first clue brought by FOX for the Gopher mask was "Lasso." The masked singer donned the stage with a country look, wearing a blue Canadian tuxedo and a white and red colored Texan hat. Moreover, the masked singer had a glittery medal-like bow around his neck. Gopher with red gloves in his hand brought two clue packages as he entered the stage. The first said he liked to be "a Candian tuxedo," and another clue was "expert in British politics." Gopher was unmasked in the show and unveiled to be an American musician and Parliament-Funkadelic George Clinton. Keep reading to get all the clues.

Gopher clues

As Gopher walked onto 'The Masked Singer' stage, he was introduced as someone "who destroys not only backyards but stages too." Gopher said in his introductory clip that "Smithsonian- my spaceship was placed in the ultimate Hall of Fame." This clue linked Clinton's love for spaceships and the 'Star Trek' show. He along with the group built "Mothership" and used it at one of his concerts while singing "Mothership Connection." The P-Funk Mothership ow rests in the Smithsonian collection.

Another clue revealed for Gopher was a "glowing dog." This clue hinted toward Clinton's ownership of songs like "atomic Dog." Gopher further explained about himself that everyone has had his "sample of flavor." He says, "Now the doctors copy my method, and even dogs want to be a part of my legacy." This clue hinted toward Clinton's tales of Dr Funkenstein. Mothership and Dr Funkenstein are some of the worldly imagination of songwriter, producer, and band leader Clinton.

Gopher further unleashed the clues that he is a comedian who also knows to sing. He has also won a Grammy. After Gopher's performance, the goat brought the medal, saying, "LOL." Indeed, hinting the masked singer is the comedian. The panelists hinted that the masked singer could be George Wallace or Martin Lawrence. However, it was unmasked to be George Clinton.

With Venus Flytrap and Gopher being unmasked, Bride was declared the King of the episode. 'The Masked Singer' Season 8 releases every Wednesday at 8 pm ET/PT on FOX.
