‘The Masked Singer’: Gumball mask is Scott Porter, actor calls himself ‘winner’ despite losing in the finale
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the exciting finale of 'The Masked Singer' Season 11, the Gumball mask was revealed to be actor Scott Porter. Despite not taking home the trophy, Porter called himself a "winner" due to the incredible journey and personal growth he experienced on the show.
Porter, known for his roles in 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Hart of Dixie', surprised everyone with his singing abilities, as he had no prior experience in singing before joining the show. Reflecting on his unexpected talent, he said, "I didn't know I could do this until tonight, but I'm glad I did."
Throughout the season, Porter's performances, including his final rendition of 'Renegade' by Styx, garnered praise and admiration from both the judges and fans. His heartfelt dedication to his parents, who were in a rock band but couldn't make a living from it, added a touching backstory to his performances. Porter shared, "I realize now why it was so special to them, and being on the show has been the time of my life."
The judges' final guesses for Gumball varied, with Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke guessing Derek Hough, Ken Jeong guessing Taran Killam, and Rita Ora guessing Joseph Gordon-Levitt. None of them correctly identified Porter, making his reveal all the more surprising.
Despite finishing second, Porter felt victorious. He stated, "I think it’s a badge of honor if they can’t figure you out. At the end of the day, to make it all the way to the finale with them not having any idea of who I am, I think I’ll take that as a win."

Returning for his final performance of the season was Gumball. As he belted out to 'Renegade' by Styx, finishing out the competition on a fun high, judges and fans were in awe of his performance. Ken called him “pitch perfect” and “outstanding” from beginning to end.
After his performance, Gumball shared an emotional moment, saying, “Tonight, that performance was really about my folks. I told you that they had been in a rock band, but they never were able to pay the bills through their artistry, so they worked hard. Forty, 60, 80 hours a week, just to get to the weekend so they could do what they love and perform on stage. So, I realize now why it was so special to them, because I know tomorrow I go back to my day job. This has been the time of my life and I’m so thankful and honored to have been on this stage. Thank you.”
Goldfish mask and winner of the season Vanessa Hudgens delivers an emotional speech
Vanessa Hudgens, the winner of 'The Masked Singer' Season 11, delivered an emotional speech after being unmasked as the Goldfish. For her final performance, she sang 'Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me' by Elton John, opting for a heartfelt and emotional approach.
Following her moving rendition, Vanessa shared her feelings about the experience. She said, “It’s the power of music.” She went on to express how much the journey on The Masked Singer meant to her, saying, “This experience has been so incredible and so special for me. It really surprised me because not everybody knows what I actually do, and the fact that you guys have all truly seen me for what I love doing really lights a fire under my little fish tail. Thank you guys so much, it means the world to me.”
