'The Masked Singer' Season 3: After brilliant singers end up in bottom two, fans are certain show is 'fixed'
'The Masked Singer' has managed to raise quite a storm with its fresh format coupled with equally entertaining judges. The show is one of the most talked about on Twitter with hordes of viewers voicing their views on the performances as well as putting on their sleuth caps to decode the identity of the celebrities under the mask, and they are too good with their guesses.
For instance, they were absolutely on point with Kangaroo's identity who revealed herself as Jordyn Woods, White Tiger was indeed Rob Gronkowski and the recently evicted Bret Michaels emerged from under the banana mask tonight (April 22), just like the viewers predicted.
The singer's exit was shocking. Viewers of the show couldn't come to terms with the fact that Banana ended up in the bottom in the first place. Earlier on, in the episode, Frog and Kitty went head to head and viewers were disappointed when it was revealed that Frog received more votes from the studio audiences as opposed to Kitty who is an amazing singer. And in the pre-taped video that played before their faceoff, even Frog had agreed that he wasn't that great of a singer as compared to Kitty.
With both Banana and Kitty ending up in the bottom and with one of them about to face imminent elimination, fans took to Twitter to sound off and some are even convinced that the show is "fixed".
"y’all really trying to tell me the Rhino did better as a vocalist and performer than the Banana #TheMaskedSinger."
"#TheMaskedSinger since they found out its bret michaels, I think he'll leave. Although banana was better than rhino," wrote a fan who was not shocked that it was Bret under the mask but also that he was better than Rhino.
"How the heck are the frog and the rhino not battling it out right now.... kitty and banana are so much better than both of them #TheMaskedSinger," wrote a fan.
"#TheMaskedSinger how did rhino win when like banana was so much better tonight," asked another. "I CALL FOUL! I never thought I would say it but masked singer MUST be fixed! The 2 strongest singers end up on the bottom? SERIOUSLY? YOU THINK WE'RE STUPID? EVERYONE was shocked INCLUDING frog and rhino! I'M SO SAD! MASKED SINGER IS FIXED!" wrote another disappointed fan.
We think that even though this might be a "singing" show, it's the whole experience that matters. Given the identities are masked under elaborate costumes but to take all that and put up a show, winning over the studio audiences and judges, is a lot of work. While there is absolutely no doubt that Banana and Kitty were better singers and did not deserve to be in the bottom, one cannot ignore the fact that Frog brought in the heat and Rhino did great too and has been consistent throughout the show. That is our two cents.
