It looks like Kim Kardashian didn't receive the memo on canceling the 'toxic hustle culture' in favor of health and wellness, in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. After making controversial statements like, "Get your f***ing ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days," the reality star put her words to action on the recently aired episode of 'The Kardashians'.

Kim landed in the Dominican Republic to shoot for the cover of Swimsuit Illustrated as well as the promotional campaign for her SKIMS swimwear collection. But sadly 'The Kardashians' star began feeling unwell during the flight ride itself. While continuing to cough and complain of sore throat, Kim went on with her work. She claimed that since she was a total professional with a strong work ethic, she would have to finish her work. The makeup mogul however assured everybody that she got herself tested for Covid and that the test came back negative. This further prompted her to continue with the shoot.

While Kim felt proud of herself for pushing herself to finish her work despite feeling sick, unfortunately, fans didn't share the same feeling. Several fans took to the show's Reddit discussion page and Twitter to call out Kim for promoting working while feeling unwell. A fan tweeted, "Kim promoting working while sick just goes to show that we’ve learned nothing from the pandemic #TheKardashians #Hulu." Another fan wrote, "That whole storyline was ……. it’s 2022, going to work when you’re sick and coughing isn’t a flex anymore. Especially in the age of a global pandemic." "Kim talking about her showing up to work while sick is not the flex she thinks it is 🙄," echoed a fan.

Fans also called out Kim for not covering her mouth properly while she was busy coughing. "So if you’re Kim Kardashian you don’t need to cover your mouth when you cough? 😷 She coughed right into her makeup artists face," pointed out a fan. "COVER YOUR MOUTH WHILE COUGHING THIS IS BASICS WTF," shared a fan."Ok kim you might not have covid but you are sick and can still spread shit wtf lol," explained a fan. "Kim coughing and sniffling all over the place and talking about how she’s a hard worker? Fuck that. In a post pandemic world, if you’re sick stay home!! Even if it’s not COVID, there’s no reason to push yourself or expose others. Also, the romanticizing “normal” life is exhausting. Going to a grocery store and getting ice cream at Thrifty is not “so relatable” when it’s in between private jet flights," added a fan.

'The Kardashians' is available for streaming on Hulu.
