'The Kardashians' kicks off with Saint discovering mom Kim's sex tape ad, but fans don't buy 'FAKE DRAMA'

Nearly 15 years ago, 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' premiered with Kim Kardashian fretting over the leak of her sex tape. Since then a lot has changed for Kim and her famous family, including landing their new Hulu series 'The Kardashians'. So, when the new Hulu show kicked off with Kim's five-year-old son Saint West stumbling upon an ad about his mom's new sex tape, it was a deja vu moment of sorts.

Saint was busy playing a game of Roblox at the Kardashian-Jenner family barbecue when he suddenly began laughing. He then passed his iPad to his mother to show her something. Kim's expression quickly changed from indifference to concern. She quietly passed the device to her sister Khloe Kardashian, who looked worried as well on seeing the contents on the iPad. Kim later explained in her confessional that her young son stumbled upon a picture of her infamous cry face, but that wasn't all. It also featured an ad for her new sex tape which was supposed to be unreleased footage from the old tape.

The SKIMS founder explained, "This is supposed to be unreleased footage from my old sex tape. The last thing that I want as a mom is for my past to be brought up 20 years later." Kim understandably got very upset about her son coming across the inappropriate content and called up Kanye West for moral support. She expressed how she was relieved over the fact that their son couldn't read. "On Roblox? Saint was on Roblox yesterday and a thing popped up and he started laughing and he said ‘Mommy look!’ and it was a picture of my cry face and it was a game that someone made on Roblox and it said Kim’s New Sex Tape when you click on it. Thank God he can’t read yet. Over my dead body is this going to happen to me again. I just want it gone. This is not going to f**k with me. It’s not. I just want it gone. It’s just annoying, I almost died when Saint thought it was funny.”

While Kim was unhappy about the sex tape issue coming back to haunt her, fans, however, weren't entirely convinced about the plotline. Many fans found it hard to believe that Saint would stumble upon the sex tape ad on the day of them filming for the show and called out the family for manufacturing 'fake storylines'.

A fan tweeted, "The fact Saint’s game had a Kim K tape #2 pop-up at the premiere party of #TheKardashians is just too much of a coincidence for me to believe." "The weight that both Kanye and Kim give Saturday Night Live is truly epic. They treat it like SNL from the ’70s. Has anyone told them? Also, first time watching #TheKardashians thru and shame on them for making Saint do the Roblox porn scene," wrote a fan.

Another fan added, "Kim creating some fake drama over a spam pop up of her sex tape #TheKardashians." "Girl the sex tape is tired stop pretending that it’s still going viral…and on Roblox? b***h please!!!!!! #thekardashians," slammed a fan

The fake storyline theory gained further traction on the internet when fans realized how even 'KUWTK' began with Kim's sex tape leak premise. A fan shared, "Oh it makes sense that Saint would now discover Kim sex tape, would be the perfect #TheKardashians opening, tie it all together, Probably Ye who convinced them of that Imagine."

"They kicked off the original Kardashian’s with Kim dealing with the Ray J sex tape and that’s exactly how they are kicking off #TheKardashians," commented a fan. "Talking about the sex tape in episode 1 of the new show is a full circle moment #TheKardashians," observed a fan.
