'The Haves and the Have Nots' Season 8 Premiere: Does Wyatt survive once again? Viewers say 'just die already'

When the police find Wyatt in his car on the roadside, he still has a pulse and the promo for the next episode shows that he clearly survives

Spoilers for 'The Haves and the Have Nots' Season 8 Premiere 'The Long Game'

When Wyatt Cryer (Aaron O'Connell) walked into Uncle Vinny's bar at the end of Season 7 of 'The Haves and the Have Nots' and got both his wrists cut, viewers would have thought that this might finally be the end of a character that always seem to make lucky escapes. Surely, Wyatt could not survive what happened to him, right?

Well, when we return to 'The Haves and the Have Nots' for its eighth season, the police find Wyatt Cryer in his car on the roadside, and guess what? He still has a pulse, prompting one of the cops to say that he has "nine lives". But have his lives run out now?

By now, of course, viewers are exasperated with how Wyatt somehow gets to keep living. One fan tweeted, "DAMN WYATT CAN’T DIE FOR NOTHING!!!! #HAHN." Another wrote, "Wyatt has 19373737 lives. Like, how does he keep escaping death like this?! #HAHN." 

Wyatt's survival, however, does not have fans rejoicing who seem to have gotten tired of his antics after seven seasons of Wyatt screwing up over and over again. A fan tweeted, "Wyatt should just die already. Yes, his parents did fail him but he's responsible for his own actions also. #HAHN@OWNTV."

As always, Katheryn Cryer (Renee Lawless) tries to help her son out even from within the prison, leading one exasperated fan to ask, "How many times has Katheryn gotten help for Wyatt? #HAHN." However, some fans still seem to be rooting for Wyatt as one tweeted, "Do the right thing and help Mrs Cryer so she can help Wyatt! #HAHN."



 



 



 



 



 

Either way, the promo for the next episode makes it clear that Wyatt has, in fact, survived. When he wakes up, he tells his father, James "Jim" Cryer (John Schneider) that he loves him and asks him if he loves him back. That is quite a tall order considering that Wyatt did attack his father causing the latter to wear a cast, in fact. But does this mean that Wyatt is a changed man now?

'The Haves and the Have Nots' airs on Oprah Winfrey Network on Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
