'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 10: No new episode this week, but here is when you can expect Chidi and Eleanor to return with the Answer
'The Good Place' Season 4 had begun with a huge challenge — conducting an experiment with four human test subjects to prove to the Judge (Maya Rudolph) that human beings deserve a better shot at going to the Good Place. Now that Team Humans has successfully accomplished this, they are faced with a whole new challenge, which is to come up with an alternate solution to save humanity instead of destroying the whole world and starting all over again. Most of the responsibility of finding the "Answer" falls on Chidi (William Jackson Harper), who had lost all of his memories featuring his best friends and the plan to save humanity and the hundreds of afterlives he has lived while he was a test subject for the experiment.
As soon as he got all his memories restored, Chidi's first course of action was to revisit a note he wrote to himself. The note read that the "Answer" he was looking for throughout his life does not exist, but the answer is Eleanor (Kristen Bell). In all their afterlives, we have seen Chidi and Eleanor find each other and fall in love over and over again, and it is clear that if there was a soulmate these two would come closest to it.
Despite this momentous occasion of Eleanor and Chidi's reunion, a ton of work remains considering the fate of the entire universe hangs by a thread. Eleanor, Chidi, Michael (Ted Danson), Janet (D'Arcy Carden), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), and Jason (Manny Jacinto) have an hour before Judge blows up the universe and human beings get a chance to be on Earth again, and eventually a chance to get into the Good Place again.
Obviously these are trying times, and especially with Chidi back on the team, the odds are certainly in their favor. However, we will have to wait a while to see if everything works out for the best, because 'The Good Place' is on a fall break, and will return with Season 4 Episode 10 only on Thursday, January 9, 2020.
