When will 'The Good Doctor' Season 4 Episode 6 air? Here's what to expect when show returns from winter break

Judgment day is here and Dr Shaun Murphy is not doing well at all. His social expertise — or lack thereof aside, Shaun seemed to be doing quite well until the prospect of having junior residents under him was dumped on the titular doctor and things are on the brink of falling apart, and not just in his relationship with Lea.
But all of that is secondary as there's a primary concern surrounding the next episodes of the ongoing Season 4. That's right, 'The Good Doctor' is going on its designated midseason break, or winter break following the latest Episode 5, but worry not. We've got you covered on when the series returns with the rest of Shaun's journey this year.
Although not much information is out yet on the very tightly hushed up Winter Premiere, 'The Good Doctor Season 4 is expected to return with its latter half of episodes on January 21, 2021. In that, the yet-to-be-named Episode 6 of Season 4, if everything goes according to plan, will air on Monday, January 21, at 10 pm ET/PT only on ABC.
The reason behind this sudden break is a common one. The infamous Winter Break or mid-season break is usually induced to give fans and viewers time to catch up and enjoy the holidays with family. Television networks know you're not going to spend these few days glued to the screen after spending practically this whole year doing the same.
Still, anticipation builds up after Episode 5, titled 'Fault', where we saw "Dr. Murphy question his decision to give the new residents autonomy when an intern's misdiagnosis has dire consequences." Meanwhile, the official synopsis offered by ABC also summed up the gist noting "A patient has a ruptured cyst affecting key functions of her brain; Dr. Morgan Reznick and Park bond over failed relationships."
On one hand, we have Shaun's dilemma as the young man can't really seem to have all ends of his life going smoothly; either there's turbulence in the personal sphere or in the professional one. It is however the developing bond between Morgan and Park that has managed to disgust more than just a few fans, who have also complained that the show doesn't believe in platonic relationships.
So if you're someone who finds comfort in the two jilted characters, there's hope to watch out for in Episode 6. But if you absolutely detest the idea of Morgan and Park sleeping together, all that's in store for you seems to be copious amounts of disappointment. Give it a shot, maybe 2021 won't be as horrible!
'The Good Doctor' Season 4 airs on Mondays at 10 pm on ABC.
