‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3 Episode 6: Fans think Dr. Morgan Reznick needs an attitude makeover after she comments on Claire's clothes
We have been seeing Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) for three seasons now on ‘The Good Doctor’. But what do we know about her? We know, of course, that she is a surgical resident at St. Bonaventure Hospital, where all the drama unfolds. We know that she is a competitive, bossy woman who tends to make her colleagues a little disappointed in her from time to time. Morgan has also revealed her weaknesses when she made a mistake and cost her patient an arm. She is highly opinionated and likes to take things in her own hands. While these qualities in a person are typically admirable, it can also backfire sometimes, especially when others in question are going through a tough time.
Take Season 3 Episode 6 for instance. She passes a snide remark on Claire’s clothes, when she delays her shift by an hour on the pretext of a dental appointment. We don’t know or see what Claire is up to. But it should not matter. As Morgan claims, she and Claire are friends and that she is always looking out for her. But her remarks like, “Don’t take this the wrong way, but when did you get so slutty?” are making fans flip. As @runawayresume says, “Wrong word Morgan! Then Claire should have gone hood on her! #TheGoodDoctor”.
This repartee had barely sunk in when we see her trying to boss around Claire again and control how she should handle Shaun and his relationship problem with Carly. The couple has been having some misunderstanding and Shaun wants to talk to Carly to clear it out. But Morgan pushes Claire into talking to Carly first to get an idea of what’s going on between her and Shaun and fix it before Shaun gets more upset. Now, to see intrinsically, Morgan’s intentions aren’t wrong. But her attitude is. Or at least so what the fans feel. As @only1risa thinks, “Ughh! Morgan needs to be humbled, real good. #TheGoodDoctor.”
While a lot of viewers love Dr. Morgan Reznick for her bold personality, she can also come across as harsh and crude to many. So, will we see a more mellowed and toned down Morgan as she continues her residency, or will she get worse?
‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3 airs on Monday at 10.30 pm only on ABC.
