'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2' saw Team Flash square off against Dr. Ramsey Rosso's Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) as well as the Dark Flash (Grant Gustin) after he was infected.

The attempt to neutralize the threat may have been successful, but it robbed them of valuable time as the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' began in what could rightly be called a horrifying way.

The episode sees the team lock up Rosso in one of the meta cells — not before a scare though as he gave the world a glimpse of his deadly and chilling abilities. By the time the scrimmage was done, it was just a few minutes before the imminent 'Crisis' arrived.

In many ways, the final minutes of  'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2' was a heartfelt goodbye. Barry and the team (who can rightly be called his family) take turns in reliving the best moments of their lives as a team and how they would go on to be with the Scarlet Speedster until the very end.

Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that the 'Crisis' wouldn't mark the end of their love.

The clock then strikes midnight and the team immediately witnesses the red skies that were teased in the future newspaper headline seen in the pilot season.

They all watch the encounter grimly. The episode then shifts to the stinger clip seen on 'Batwoman' and 'Supergirl' where Harrison Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is opened up and pulled into a blinding light after he submits to The Monitor.

'The Flash' Season 6 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.  Here is The CW's schedule for the next big crossover that kicks off with 'Supergirl'.

'Supergirl' — December 8

'Batwoman' — December 9

'The Flash' — December 10

'Arrow' — January 14

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' — January 14
