'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 6 will air a week late but we're still eager to see what's in store for Hartley Sawyer's Ralph Dibny
It may be a bit of a wait as ‘The Flash’ Season 6 Episode 6 ‘License to Elongate’ will air only on November 19. For fans, this is sure to be a test of patience as the season has been nothing short of gripping. Touted to be the best season since it debuted in 2014 (this could also be partly due to the fact that ‘Crisis’ has been a key plot point in each episode), the latest installment has dished out a series of riveting episodes so far.
While Bloodwork and the imminent ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ coupled with Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) death has been central to the season’s storyline, the upcoming episode can be safely termed as a filler as the series has decided to give the supporting characters their due by giving them concrete story arcs.
While Carlos Valdes’ Cisco Ramon had murder mystery that outlined his character arc in the ‘Kiss Kiss Breach Breach’, it’s Ralph Dibny’s (Hartley Sawyer) turn to step into the spotlight in the upcoming episode. From the promo and the synopsis, it is clear that he and Barry are on an undercover mission and the chapter has fleeting references to James Bond.
Dibny’s character, just like the rest was shown to still have not come to terms about Barry’s impending death. Just like prepping Cisco for a team without the Flash, ‘License to Elongate’ is probably Barry doing something similar for Dibny.
Adding to this is the entire storyline revolving Sue Dearborn who is yet to be introduced on the show. Talking about her appearance, Sawyer, in an interview with EW said: actor's interview with EW where he said: “Since I started playing Ralph, the number one question has probably always been, ‘Where’s Sue? What about Sue?’ We did talk early on in season 4, because I brought that up, and the plan had always been all roads lead to Sue and we’re going to get there, but he has to be ready for that, because that’s such a serious relationship in comics and a big relationship,” says Sawyer. “I can’t see the guy he was in season 4 meeting Sue Dearborn and that becoming what you know it needs to become.”
‘The Flash’ airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
