'The Family Chantel': Lidia chases Nicole's boyfriend Alejandro with a purse after learning he's a married man
Nicole's boyfriend Alejandro was visiting her in her home country of the Dominican Republic. It was his final days over there after which he was planning to fly back to New York. Before he did so, Nicole and Alejandro collectively decided that they are truly in love and that for their relationship to progress some things needed to be out in the open. Nicole knew about Alejandro already being married and that he was in the midst of getting a divorce, however, she now wanted her mother to know about it soon.
The couple decided to break the news to her at a park and what followed was not a pretty sight. Lidia wasn't really approving of Alejandro from the very beginning, however, this new piece of information just made matters worse, taking her hate for him on a whole another level.
Alejandro tried to convince Lidia that he was committed to Nicole and that he's already in the midst of being freeing himself from his marriage. Lidia chose to believe there was no truth to what he was saying. Her doubts came from the fact that she was in a similar situation years ago with Nicole and her son Pedro's father. She opened up about it during a confessional to the camera saying that she was in love with the father of her children many years ago and after a while, she discovered he was already married with two kids. However, she became privy to this information very late, both her kids were already born by then and she didn't have much of a choice, she said.
Pedro and Nicole's father then decided that he'd like to return to his wife and kids. leaving Lidia in the lurch. Having faced all of this first-hand, Lidia was not ready to watch her daughter go through the same. She warned Alejandro, who was trying his best to convince her, that she'd beat him with her heel and "drain the bad blood" out of him. She then began walking away from the scene but Alejandro kept following her, causing her to become agitated and she picked up her purse and began chasing him intending to beat him up. Looks like Nicole has a lot of convincing to do.
