The Evil in Morgan Daub: Mom's CHILLING note before horrifying 'The Sword of the Lord' murder-suicide
YORK, PENNSYLVANIA: A terrifying handwritten letter by Deborah Daub, who was found dead alongside her daughter Morgan Daub and husband James Daub, has been found by investigators. The remains of the three family members were reportedly discovered on January 25 on Loman Avenue in West Manchester Township.
It has been believed that they died in a planned murder-suicide pact and the York Country Coroner Pamela Gay has declared the parents’ deaths as homicide while Morgan's death was pronounced a suicide. On Friday, February 3, Detective Timothy Fink revealed to NBC News that in the January 19 note, the 59-year-old mother had stated that they decided to take away their lives mutually. The cop shared that in the letter “she speaks of a joint decision” and also mentioned the “evil that has mounted against Morgan.” However, he did not disclose any other information.

'Her daughter pulled the trigger': Officials reveal chilling details
Earlier, Fink had spoken about other letters too that were left by the mother, 62-year-old father, and their 26-year-old daughter. The detective told The York Dispatch, “The note from James Daub indicated that he wished to commit suicide but there were only two guns and he was too shaky to pull the trigger, so Deborah pulled the trigger for him,” before stating, “The note from Deborah stated that she was unable to pull the trigger, so her daughter pulled the trigger — but it should still be considered a suicide. We may never know with certainty exactly who fired each shot.”
It has also been revealed that it was Morgan, who did not want to live anymore and had told her mother, Deborah, that “she was having auditory hallucinations which were not getting any better.” But the mother allegedly did not want to let go of her child alone and “so she had decided to end her life with her.” “The letter written by James indicated that they had told him their plan, and he decided that he didn’t want to live without them,” Fink said. Not just that, before taking their lives, the family “had also sedated their family dog with medication, so that it would not pose a threat to first responders,” Fink added.
'Kind of a quiet girl': Known ones reveal how Morgan was before death
The triple murder-suicide has shaken the state, especially the people who knew the Daubs. Paula Wolfe, the youth coordinator at Suburban Bowlerama, reportedly said, “She really seemed to enjoy bowling. And she was smart. Kind of a quiet girl. Her mother was very friendly. Dad was friendly.” Sharing her thoughts on the unfortunate incident, Wolfe added, “Everybody’s just really sad about it, and just doesn’t know what to make of it. I don’t know that you could ever imagine this. But, yeah, a family that you’d never ever think that anything like this would happen.”
Sherry Wagman, the assistant tournament director for the York/Adams United States Bowling Congress association, also shared, “Such a tragedy to the entire family, and my heart breaks knowing that she/parents could have gotten some kind of help.” Wagman then mentioned Morgan as she said, “As a young girl, Morgan was shy, but was always happy. She would get so excited when she bowled good. Morgan bowled in various tournaments while she was a youth bowler and earned quite a few scholarships from those tournaments.”
