'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 7 Episode 10: Lagina's team might have just found their 'silver' lining

The promo for Episode 10 of 'The Curse Of Oak Island' promised much excitement. For starters, the team seemed to have stumbled upon silver. Had their years of hard work, blood sweat and tears finally paid off? Could they have finally found some hint of silver on the cursed island?

Well... in this episode, Rick Lagina and Gary Drayton dig around Smith's Cove. And hallelujah, they find a mysterious black object. Except, Gary is sure that it is not really black and that it is actually silver. "That's silver, mate!" He exclaims. For a while, there's the trademark Cursed Island team joy and happiness. However, as the episode progresses, they discover that it is impure lead. Their determination is far from waning, and after much research and explanations, they are told that it does not belong in North America. It's most likely European.

That means only one thing for the team.... (you know where this is heading). It could just be another clue for the Knights Templar! The team rapidly connects it to another find, which is the lead cross.

This is just one part of the exciting episode. While one team tries to understand the mysterious lead object, the other part of the team that includes Jack Begley, Craig Tester and Scott Barlow, has decided to excavate the swamp, which they believe is man-made. They have to drain the swamp, which is a Herculean task. The muddy swamp has been a site of strange discoveries, that includes a 200 feet "anomaly", unearthed by seismic operations, as well as a circular rock at the northern point, which is called the "Eye Of The Swamp".

The interest had reached a feverish pitch as they were told by geoscientist Ian Spooner that significant human activity had taken place at the swamp in the 17th century.

This episode was quite entertaining, and the dramatic music really amped up the curiosity. It was a little different from the rest of the episodes, and you couldn't help but be grateful that a massive step like draining the swamp had finally been made. That Knights Templar theory could go on forever, really.

The team may or may not be close to unearthing any treasure, but there might be some answers available to them at the bottom of the swamp. It's a smelly, dirty business as the Lagina brothers admit, but their investigation might just prove fruitful.

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel on Tuesdays at 9 pm.
