The episode titled, 'Acts of Chivalry', on NBC's 'The Courtship' showcased some much-needed alone time between Nicole Remy and Alex "Achilles" King. With so many suitors trying to get her attention, Achilles somehow stood out and Remy clearly wanted to get to know him better.

Achilles intended to get some time alone with Remy so he can not just talk to her, but also show her his vulnerable side. He tells her that he is of Dominican ethnicity. To this, Remy adds that her father's side has strong Caribbean roots. Achilles also knows a lot about chicken! Seems like a good way to start things off. Talk about an impressive introduction. Read on to know how this potential suitor opens up about his life.

Achilles feels like his authenticity and transparency will make him stand a class apart from the rest of the suitors. Having said that, Remy's clearly intrigued to know more about him, to which he says, "Ask me anything".

When talking about his family, Achilles says that he was raised by a single mom, with his father never being in the picture. He adds, "My mother was my father, if that makes any sense".

Unfortunately, he lost his mother recently, about three months ago. He deeply mourns her loss to this day, since the two practically grew up together to become best friends. Achilles had mentioned that his mother was pretty young when she had him.

To add to his misery, his brother died a month after his mother's demise. Remy wells up and tells him, "You're so strong".

In addition, Achilles explains that things have been tough and that his family came from a poor background coupled with a lot of struggles.

While Achilles apologizes and says that opening up is the toughest part, Remy says that she can feel his strength and that she wants to be there for him to listen, share strength and joy while also sharing with his strength.

Remy breaks down when Achilles mentions him wanting to introduce her to his family, his mother and brother being all that he had. He adds that it's difficult to find someone like Remy in this world, someone who genuinely cares, after noticing her cry.

It sure does seem like Remy and Achilles get each other on a deep and emotional level.

New episodes of 'The Courtship' air every Sunday, at 8 pm ET, on NBC.
