PORTLAND, OREGON: Although it has only been a few months since the last release, prepare for a fresh round of 'The Circle'! The massively successful Netflix popularity contest returns to our screens on December 28 with the first set of episodes, but unlike Brian Clark a.k.a. Brittney, practically all the contestants entering the chat are single.

The new season of Netflix's 'The Circle' will premiere on Wednesday, December 28. Season 1 fan favorite Shubam Goel and 'Big Brother' star Brett Robinson are among the candidates on the show. The show is centered on contestants participating in a social experiment, in which they may either be themselves or catfish their way to the grand prize. Fans will, however, be treated to a new twist on this season of 'The Circle'. The official narrative of 'The Circle' Season Five is as follows, "The new season of the reality competition, officially called The Circle: Singles, will follow players who claim to be romantically available as they jockey for popularity with their sequestered co-stars. Some of these competitors will be telling the truth, and others will be strategically catfishing as a singleton, all in the hopes of winning Season 5’s cash prize." It goes on, "Shubham “Shubi” Goel, who thrived in The Circle Season 1, will be one of those game players. You can expect more flirting, more drama and lots of surprises as these singles battle it out to be named top influencer."

'The Circle' Season 5: 5 things you need to know about the Netflix reality series

Who is Brian Clark?

Brian Clark is among the 12 contestants joining the Season 5 cast of 'The Circle,' and he will catfish others by impersonating his daughter Brittney. Clark is a single parent from Portland, Oregon, and one of five contestants on the program using a fake persona. As in past seasons, the contestants will not be allowed to meet in person and will instead talk with each other to build close ties, making Clark's job of duping others simpler. After each week, players will be required to rank each other based on their popularity, and the person with the fewest votes will be removed. He claimed in his Netflix introduction video, "I'll be using my skills to root out all the catfish, except for one person, me!"

Little is known about Clark, but according to his Instagram account, he is a digital content developer who frequently travels across the world with his partner, Amber. He announced to his fans in August that he had proposed to his girlfriend, Amber. She has a 13-year-old son, Colton, and a daughter, Keely. Clark has two daughters, Brittney and Riley, in addition to being an excellent stepdad to Colton and Keely.

Clark has been to numerous countries, including Belgium, Costa Rica and Spain, and describes himself as a "Circle Zaddy" and "dad-fluencer." The single father from Portland, Oregon, professes he likes "travel, sports, food, and wine" and frequently chronicles his adventures doing so on social media, so there's enough content for you to consume.

Season 5 of 'The Circle' is slated to premiere on Netflix before the New Year in 2023. The first four episodes will premiere on the streamer on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 3:01 a.m. ET. While the remaining episodes will have the same time slot, their release dates will change. Episodes 5-8 will be available on Netflix on January 4, Episodes 9-12 will be available on January 11, and the final episode will be available on January 18. Each episode will last between 45 and 60 minutes.
