In the season finale episode of 'The Busch Family Brewed', Billy Jr is contemplating getting engaged to his girlfriend, Marissa Morgan.

Later that morning Billy Jr is out fishing with his brother and tells him that he doesn't want to play the field anymore. He is ready to go from a boy that his family thinks he is to a man and wants to start a new life with Marissa and surprisingly, Gussie Busch is supportive of his decision for the first time.

Billy Jr meets with his mother to talk about his decision and she obviously is not very happy to hear this and advise him once again that they've known each other for a very short time and this all seems rushed. Billy, however, is very determined and tells her that the family needs to take into account his happiness for once.

After speaking with his mother, he also speaks to Billy Sr. about his engagement plans and says that he needs to be independent. His father tells him that he wouldn't become independent by moving away from them and going to Marissa. Billy Jr leaves the conversation feeling more trapped than ever.

It's a new day and Billy Sr is planning a groundbreaking ceremony for their brewery. Elsewhere Billy Jr brings Gussie to the jewelers to help pick an engagement band and Gussie advises him that the family just needs some more time to be completely comfortable with his decision to marry and they will eventually come around.

On the day of the ceremony, the whole family is gathered together and Gussie and Haley notice that Billy is carrying a box around in his pocket and hope that he doesn't use this occasion to propose to Marissa because that will highly upset their mother.

After Billy Sr makes the speech and the family shovel the ground marking the official start of the brewery, Billy Jr takes to the podium and everyone knows what is coming. He begins with "Marissa you're the love of my life" but surprises the family when he decides to hold back his engagement plans as a sign of respect for their concern and advice and announces that Marissa would be moving from Dallas to St. Louis and the family cheers him for the decision.

Christi Busch is relieved that her son listened to her and she didn't have to be a part of a rushed relationship. She has a heart to heart with Billy Jr and Marissa and apologizes for being too protective at times. She also expresses her happiness about Marissa moving to St. Louis and just like that season one of 'The Busch Family Brewed' comes to a close.
