Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) may look like they may break up, but with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) seemingly losing his grip on reality slowly, it may either speed up that breakup or make their relationship stronger than ever — it all depends on how Liam reacts to it, of course.

In the latest episode of 'The Bold and the Beautiful', after their son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), sort of manipulates Hope into having dinner with him and Thomas, the dinner goes seemingly well and all three of them soak up the much-needed family time with Douglas relishing it the most having his parents dine together in peace.

However, Thomas' boxed-up Hope mannequin soon began to interrupt Thomas' thoughts as he began to hear a voice in his head. He hallucinated Faux Hope staring at him from inside the box and telling him to make his move. "It is now or never, Thomas."

But is it the real Hope or Faux Hope that Thomas wants to be with? The answer may surprise you — and Liam. After Hope leaves Thomas' apartment with Douglas after the dinner, Thomas' hallucinations could be getting more disturbing. As Liam bursts into Thomas' apartment, he sees the latter undressed with Hope — only, what Liam does not understand is something we are all familiar with.

However, Liam is convinced that Thomas was with Hope and he will be taking out that anger on Hope. Hope, who knows that the only alone time she spent with her ex is in the presence of their son does not understand Liam's accusations of Thomas hooking up with her and she may be thinking that her husband is going off the rails himself.

CBS’ official description for this latest Thomas screw up in the next episode tells us, “Caught between reality and hallucination, Thomas makes a critical error.” An alternate description reads like this, “Thomas finds it difficult to separate reality and hallucination, which results in a critical error.”

So, what will this critical error that Thomas will make be? Could he drive Hope away once and for all? Whatever the case, the storyline is set to bring something intense. For those upset about Dr John "Finn" Finnegan's (Tanner Novlan) lack of screentime in recent episodes, they may be pleased to know that it will be Finn who is tasked with bringing Thomas back to reality after Liam goes to him about Hope's "affair."

However, Finn deduces that there are some physical symptoms of a medical issue rather than what Liam alleged. So, what do fans think about this new direction that Thomas's story is heading? One fan tweeted, "When the Hope mannequin started walking towards Thomas I was like AHHH! It's crazy, but I'm loving the story. I like Thomas & I would like to see him happy with Hope at some point. #BoldandtheBeautiful."

Another wrote, "f**k thomas get rid of that angry twin hope thingy before douglas gets afraid and gets afraid n viciously attacked i don't like it #BoldandtheBeautiful." A fan said thinking that Thomas should move on, "Thomas - there are so many Beautiful, Successful Blondes out there in Los Angeles, California - drop Hope and find another one."
