When will 'The Blacklist' Season 8 Episode 7 air? Red's struggle to save Elizabeth from herself gets difficult
Looks like the terror of Elizabeth Keen won't be hovering over the heads of the FBI headquarters in the next couple of episodes of NBC's crime drama 'The Blacklist'. With the eighth and final season in full swing, the showrunners are trying to grasp at mere straws to keep things interesting. Witnessing her mother's death has turned Liz (Megan Boone) rogue and she's the number one Blacklister now.
Similarly, purely for shock value, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and Aram (Amir Arison) resigned from their jobs, and the final moments of the show also hinted at a possible romance in Red's (James Spader) arc in the coming days. According to TV listings and schedule, the next episode airs without any random hiatus or off weeks getting in the way. Just a short week from tonight, the upcoming Episode 7 of 'The Blacklist' Season 8 airs on Friday, February 19, at its usual 8 pm time slot only on NBC. Official synopsis for the episode titled 'Chemical Mary' reveals: "The Task Force must race to stop simultaneous danger presented by two blacklisters. Cooper approaches a congressman for intel."
This follows tonight's Episode 6 titled 'The Wellstone Agency' where "Red and Dembe go to great lengths to fulfill the final wishes of a dear friend. Aram goes undercover as an interpreter to a company that provides services to criminals, while Park helps a friend in trouble." So for those in for a total shocker, yeah, Cooper did not let Aram and Ressler resign as that would mean he would have to resign too, for compromising the mission for Liz's sake. Instead, he is dead set on making the two men Liz deemed closest to her at work chase after bad guys to get a lead to her criminal mastermind.
But also trying to reach Liz's newly turned rogue mastermind is a certain mysterious man who gave Red the thumb drive which caused most of the run and chase in the previous episode. Red's deal with this man of the archives is not to harm Liz, no matter what. There's ongoing debate surrounding whether he is N13 after all or if it's all a grand ruse. But looks like even when teamed against her, Red is working to protect Liz. Seriously though, for how long?
